Oklahoma City, OK: A $153,000 grant received by Harding Fine Arts Academy Foundation from the Kirkpatrick Foundation’s board of trustees has helped the Master Plan Project move forward to address important historic preservation, engineering, and architectural planning related to the high school’s physical plant.

The Master Plan Project began in 2019, shortly after Harding Fine Arts Academy Foundation purchased the historic 100-year-old Harding building from Oklahoma City Public Schools. The plan addresses six different objectives: (1) immediate occupancy and accessibility; (2) architectural and engineering assessment; (3) historic preservation and planning; (4) STEAM curriculum enhancement; (5) community engagement and sustainability; and (6) growth preparedness and expansion.

“The sudden opportunity to purchase the Harding Building in July of 2019 presented the Foundation with many challenges and increased our desire to make Harding Fine Arts Academy a model for future arts-integrated schools.” Said, Sally Bentley, Harding high school alumna and Foundation Board member.

More than $432,000 has been raised to date toward the Masterplan. To discuss the project in detail, contact Sally Bentley at [email protected] or via phone at 405-823-5306.
